SAVING Consortium holds major dissemination meeting for all stakeholders

The Consortium held an expanded dissemination meeting on August 28th, 2024, at the MJ Grand Hotel in Accra, bringing together stakeholders from various work packages for the first time. This widely attended event provided a unique opportunity for all work packages to share research findings, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within the larger group. The meeting was chaired by Professor Lydia Aziato, Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), who, in her welcome address, emphasized the importance of partnership among stakeholders to ensure research assimilation and maximum impact in the health sector. She also expressed the readiness of the UHAS to collaborate with all interested institutions and organizations to carry out cutting-edge multidisciplinary research.

Following the welcome address, Professor Margaret Gyapong, Principal Investigator of the SAVING Project, provided an overview of the SAVING Consortium Project. Dr. Phidelia Doegah then presented a report on the capacity-building activities for implementation research carried out by the consortium.

Subsequently, representatives from the various work packages presented their phase one findings and interventions for their respective implementation research studies. These presentations were followed by engaging question and answer sessions, as well as discussions on the policy implications of their findings.
